Get more out of your platform with a good recommendation engine

Old article but good read. No wonder, Under Armour calls itself a tech company. Trend started by Under Armour and now most sportswear companies do the same.

Under Armour created a platform with a focus to gather consumer data, came up with a good recommendation engine. The engine could recommend right products at the right time (eg: buy new shoes after running 600 miles) but more importantly, helped the consumer to stay fit by recommending exercise timings(imagine bad weather for most of the day, except for an hour in between), etc.
